builder's habitat

I got a lot of tiling done today. I did part of the bathroom wall and the shower wall where the fixtures are. It looks so good. I actually think I might need to get more black tiles. I ran out of tile glue again. This will make the fourth bucket of it. I still need to grout it, I haven’t done that yet.

I discovered the habitat for humanity builder’s supply site. It’s like a goodwill for building supplies. Oh man. I should have discovered it sooner. I got a ton of baseboard trim for 40 cents a stick, half used boxes of grout for one dollar a box. I got some high quality scraps of solid hardwood tongue and groove flooring for 35 cents a foot. A bunch of click laminate flooring (for the crawlspaces) for 50 cents a foot or so. amazing stuff! And so many doors and windows! I love that place. wow.

Speaking of stick, the blackberries are here! Wow, they are so good! I am still trying to figure out how to tell when they are done. When they are done they are SO GOOD. when they are not quite ready they are VEry SOUR. I have a plan to get a mulcher and some falconry gloves and then just work my way through them trimming them back, picking off the berries and running the vines through the mulcher. Then I will simultaneously prune it all back and harvest all those awesome berries. But those thorns, wow so ouch.
