the most fantastic dream

In a world. fighting a conspiracy. I had one of the keys. Several of us knew about it. I stepped into a restaurant, a floating boat. There were several of us there, the system people were looking for us. cooperatively everyone kept us hidden. I had one of the keys, but no one knew it, so I was able to act as though I was an ordinary patron of the restaurant. I sat at a table, calm, as if I knew nothing about it. One of our people stood up, foolishly, new, not understanding. He had bright red hair. Get down! Get down! everyone whispered loudly. Someone grabbed his head and shoved him under a table, several people piled on top of him, but he had been seen. The police people took him.

I had a mission to get my egg to a certain corner of the room. I carefully made my way through the tipping and sawing boat past the crowds of people. Incredibly, I made it undisturbed. I placed the egg in the center of a an ornate table. It unfolded elaborately, the whole room turned green and gold. Suddenly the answer was revealed to us.

Another girl had found another key. It was a duck. A beautifully carved bird. She placed it in a wooden pond and it came to life, bobbing and sawing, displaying beautiful colors. and music.

Suddenly the world went dark, black and white and gray. The system people had found a lead to us and were watching us. We all acted normal, like normal patrons, biding our time, waiting for the right moment. Grey was the world. oppressive, ordinary, dull, and boring. I walked slowly and carefully stepping over the edges of benches and tables. I reached the sacred spot and put the egg in it. The system people could not stop me, the answer was revealed, and the world became all color and variety again. The power surge was huge and unstoppable, the system people were now the minority and could not contend with us. We flew into action, each person playing his part. We had a collective vision. A beautiful room in the center of town, with ornately carved wooden windows and a neon purple and pink flower in the window. I knew where that is! I shouted. It’s Thai Orchid. Everybody get to Thai Orchid! So, we all ran down the street. I ran in and placed my egg in the center table. We hurried everyone in, but there were powerful forces at work, people were losing their magic. As they stood near the door, the outside world, they began to lose their vision, they began to return to normal orderly thinking, peer pressure, they turned gray, rational. Come in, come in, get away from the door, I urged one back in. Don’t forget your mission! Everyone had placed their keys/talismans in the proper position. The last talisman had been placed, and we waited. Everything was beautifully colored and still though. Something must be missing. Evelyn forgot the duck! She had to run back through town to get it! Oh no, through all those system people! who were at the doors, trying to break in. Would she make it! Would the system people get in and close us down? We closed the door behind her, get away from the door. But then we realized without our encouragement she might not make it and … We opened the door, we had to…

I was dashing along rooftops, surging towards the completion of our missions with my part to play in it. I leapt from architectural details, full of delight. Thank you thank you I cried to the stars, thanking for this wonderful gift, this is the best gift ever. Voices began saying, this is your christmas present a gift I wanted to give you. Thank you. Oh no, this is a dream or some kind of purchased experience, I began to realize, it wasn’t real. Oh.. rats… I saw my mother, hello mother, only it wasn’t her, she was angry, an angry stern woman, but beautiful. Oh, this is my real mother? I don’t know her.

I went back to the game, Evelyn incredibly made it with the duck, we should have had more faith in her! She made it. She brought it in and placed it in the pond. The room sprang to joyous life with colors and every inanimate object alive and shimmering and vibrating. We had won! We defeated the system! We had brought magick back into the world! It was sheer scintillating heart fulfilling joy.
